Cycle to Work Schemes

We work with a number of agencies offering cycle to work schemes. If this interests you, speak to your HR department to check which scheme your employer is signed up to and how it operates. They can guide you on how to apply and how the repayments and ownership work for you.

These schemes are a good option to buy a bike and finance it with some significant savings due to tax and National Insurance advantages by making the payments directly from your salary via your employer. Also there is often no longer a limit on how much you can spend on the bike so ebikes are more accessible.  However you do have to be able to afford the repayments.

Application Overview
  1. Choose the bike and any accessories you need.
  2. Get a quote from the bike shop you are looking to buy from.
  3. Submit the quote to your employer/HR dept. and work out your repayment options.
  4. Your employer/HR dept. will approve the payment and facilitate the purchase.
  5. The scheme operator will send the order to the bike shop, issue a voucher/communicate with you.
  6. You will liaise with the bike shop for delivery and you take delivery.
  7. You pay for the bike via your salary and the arrangement with your employer.*
  8. At the end of your agreement you may have additional payments – this will be made clear in your initial agreement.
* Bike insurance is recommended as you will still be responsible for repayments if your bike is stolen.
